Anyone who has ever travelled to Asia will have experienced the match made in heaven that is chicken and spring onion. With the addition of ginger and coriander, they really spark up the chicken mince and make it interesting.

Versatile chicken mince recipe

We love recipes to be versatile, and this one sure is. You can make these chicken & spring onion patties small as dippers, or larger for burgers. You can even do them as balls and oven bake for a great healthy kebab filling.

You can even cook the mixture unformed as loose mince for taco filling. The possibilities are endless (and oh so tasty)!

Ingredients

  • 500g chicken mince

  • 4 spring onions, chopped

  • 1 small bunch of coriander, minced

  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced

  • 1 inch of ginger, minced

  • 1 tablespoon of fish sauce

  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce

  • salt & pepper to taste

  • Sweet chilli sauce to serve

Directions

  • Mince the garlic, ginger and coriander in a small blender
  • Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix until fully combined
  • Form into patties
  • Shallow fry in a pan, or place on a baking tray in the oven at 180c for 15-20 mins. OR you can use an air fryer if you have one.
