JPs Tangy Pork Spare Ribs

JP’s tangy pork spare ribs are renowned the world over. From supplying restaurants in South Africa, to click and collect here in the UK. These delectable and quick ribs are great for parties or barbecues.

What’s so special about JPs pork ribs

It comes down to two main things. One, the way JP prepares the pork for you; and his special proprietary sauce.

JP pickles the pork in preparation for a quick cook once you get your ribs. Just a quick boil, followed by 30 minutes in the oven, and you have melting morsels of pork for your party.

Then you have the tangy and sweet homemade sauce, which you use to baste the ribs; but that you can also use as a dipping sauce on a sharing platter. And while we can’t tell you what’s IN the sauce, we do stock bottles of it in the shop!

Basting is best

The key to that really rich and sticky result is to baste your pork spare ribs many times over the course of the oven roasting period.

Every 10 minutes, remove the ribs from the oven and turn and baste, before putting them back. This process means that the sugars stick to the meat and create a lovely sticky and glistening glaze!
